Get to Know Our New Head of Sales!
We are excited to announce the appointment of Ewan Verschueren as our Head of Sales at Darcey Quigley & Co.
We sat down with Ewan for a quick chat to learn more about him and why he wanted to join team DQ!
Welcome to DQ! Tell us a bit about yourself
I’m from the southside of Glasgow and enjoy the simple things in life, good food, music and time outdoors.
In my ‘downtime’ my kids keep me busy, Liam (5) & Luca (3) have the unique ability to start but not complete 100+ activities per day. It’s a second job over the weekend but I wouldn’t change it for the world – being Dad’s class.
I really enjoy Networking and building relationships, can spot the sales guy, right?
Over the past 12 years I’ve completed various roles across different sectors, delivering results and gaining experience in multiple fields – from Sales & Service to Marketing & Process Improvement.
I enjoy learning from others and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible by creating solutions or jumping straight into new challenges.
What first interested you to join Darcey Quigley?
Within my network I had heard good things about DQ, the people, culture and the service offering. Whilst following the company from afar, the opportunity to join arrived and I couldn’t be more excited to join the team adding to the existing success across sales, strategy & growth.
What existing skills & experience do you hope to transfer over to your new role at DQ?
Throughout my career I’ve worked for some of the biggest companies in their sectors, experiencing change, challenges & successes. I feel this gives me a platform for success to add real value to the existing teams that I’ll support going forward.
I enjoy working data, delivering quick wins and improving processes, knowing what’s already in place within DQ I look forward to the road ahead.
What’s first on your to do list at DQ?
I’m joining a great team of individuals and will be looking to network around the business to learning from the existing success. This will allow me to make positive impacts and deliver results.
Outside of work what do you like to get up to?
Outside of work, I’m usually outdoors, chasing the two very small humans, soon to be 3.
All the running around led me to take up running at the start of this year. It’s been great seeing progress which began on the couch to 5k app to now enjoying three 5k’s a week and feeling better for it.
I also enjoy watching sport, following a local football team and playing guitar.
What’s something fun we don’t know about you?
Well, I used to have very long hair – shoulder length – distant memory and one I was trying to forget until reading this question.
